CONTRACTS MANAGER

LOCATION: Sevenoaks, Kent

Role: Contracts Manager

Salary: £70,000 plus car allowance/company car, private healthcare, 25 days holiday

 

THE COMPANY

With regional offices across Kent and Sussex they are a forward-thinking construction company carrying out projects throughout the South East. Typical projects include Affordable/Private Housing, Commercial, Healthcare and Education new build, fit out and refurbishments ranging from £3m to £14m. 

 

THE JOB

​

With an exciting 2 year growth plan they are looking for a Contracts Manager responsible for successfully leading multiple projects (usually 3-5 depending on size and complexity). Your duties will include: 

 

  • Understand and deliver contracts within the agreed contract conditions

  • To provide the Board with regular project performance reports

  • Line management of Site Managers. Providing leadership, direction and guidance

  • Provide information for inclusion within tender submissions

  • Ensure diligent pre-contract planning is carried out

  • Liaise with materials and sub-contract procurement teams and labour manager

  • Prepare internal and external progress reports

  • Attend tender adjudications

  • Sustain the Company's reputation

  • Recognise and develop business growth opportunities with both existing and new clients

  • Planning of the works in conjunction with the site team

  • Direction of resources including both direct and sub-contract labour

  • Establish and implement safe and proper working practices

  • Ensure projects are completed on time

 

 â€‹WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    

  • A results driven experienced Contracts Manager with excellent interpersonal skills. 

  • Knowledge of building, material components, building regulations and H&S

  • Excellent planning, organisational & prioritisation skills

  • Knowledge of contractual procedures and responsibilities

  • Good at problem solving & decision making

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work alone or within a team

  • Ability to motivate and manage staff

  • Management skills including programming and planning

  • Good negotiation, influencing and communication skills

  • Strong analytical, numerical, literacy and reasoning abilities

  • Confident, resourceful and practical

  • Maintains a professional, consistent and fair approach

  • Driving license holder with own car

WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO
